Services
The Academy was established in 1986 as a private institution of Clothing Production and Design with the aim of reaching the latent talent our people have, but lack places to study at tertiary level to explore designing as a career.  The graduates of the Academy go to industrial employment and many are self-employed.
 
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
National Senior Certificate,Grade 12 or equivalent.
Recognition of Prior Learning
Creative and personality assessment and personality interview is arranged.
 
CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
Graduates can start off their own businesses as follows:
 
1. Manufacture school and church uniforms e.g. tunics, shirts, and gowns for choir groups. etc.
2. Open a fashion house or boutique.
3. Specialize in bridal wear and make and / or hire out wedding gowns.
4. Do patterns grade and interpret styles and design without sewing and they can sell their designs and patterns.
5. Open a Cut, Make and Trim business for mass production and supply chain stores.
6. Specialize in men’s wear and tailoring.
7. Specialize in traditional attire of all types occasions. 
 
Fabrics for mock-ups or samples are provided by the college.  While sewing machines are provided by the institution, students are strongly advised to buy their own sewing machines to practice at home, and use these to make profit as well.
